DOOARS : The northeast
part of WB along the foothill of Eastern Himalaya is called Dooars means Gateway. In fact it is the gateway of northeast
states of India and Bhutan. This stretch of land along the
foot hill from Siliguri to Cochbihar is studded with lash
green acres of Tea gardens, number of Wildlife Sanctuaries,
a National Park and a Tiger Reserve. Forests, Wild orchids,
the rich Wildlife including Leopard, Tiger, Bison, Elephants
and Indian one horn Rhino made the area most attractive to
the tourists.The diversified human races including several
Tribes with there individual culture and character made the
area as ideal home of eco-tourism.
